MAXX Performance Dodge ram testing and development.
After owning this thing for a month or so and getting Drag Challenge out of the way, where it towed our Subaru drag car interstate with ease (and impressive fuel economy!), It’s finally time to start testing and having a proper play with the twin-turbo Six.
Like most new cars, no ECU tuning is available yet hopefully in the future, so for now we’re using a JB4 signal bender (same as most shops) to sort some extra fueling and boost.
Baseline:
-370rwkw – bone stock on 98
-0–100: 4.80s (Dragy)
-K&N Intake Only
-389rwkw – +20rwkw
-0–100: 4.61s (Dragy)
We then added the JB4…
+3psi over stock: 440rwkw
With some boost + fuel bias changes: 451rwkw
E85 blended to ~E20 + fuel bias tweaks: 465rwkw
This is already smacking our Raptor power PB on 98… while still running the full stock exhaust that is dead silent.
(Seriously… these things make zero noise.)
Next up:
-Full Maxx-spec turboback exhaust to finally get it sounding right
-Ethanol content gauge
-More testing to see how far we can push the underdog six-cylinder Ram.
